2022 NNLM Summit has ended
Monday, August 8

6:00pm EDT

Welcome to Charleston! Opening Event
The Region 2 team is pleased to welcome you to Charleston, SC, for the 2022 NNLM Summit.
We invite you to join us for light refreshments and entertainment.

Charleston is rich in natural beauty, world-class restaurants, and history.

We are excited to share some of that history through our featured entertainment: Ann Caldwell and the Magnolia Singers, which is a cappella group that performs spirituals, Gullah poetry, and stories indigenous to the Lowcountry.

Ann Caldwell and the Magnolia Singers perform Gullah spirituals and stories indigenous to the South Carolina Lowcountry. The singers perform a beautiful blend of spirituals a cappella. The Charleston-based group has been singing together since 1998.

The Magnolia Singers have performed for Nobel Peace Prize winner Toni Morrison, Emmy-award winner Phylicia Rashad, Charleston Mayor Joe Riley, nationally acclaimed artist Jonathan Green and actor Isaiah Washington.

Ann Caldwell and the Magnolia Singers have appeared on the Today Show and Good Morning America. In 2008 they were commissioned by producer and director Gayla Jamison to record original music to be used for the soundtracks for a documentary about Julia Peterkin entitled "Cheating the Night.”
Again, welcome to Charleston.
